duration 35 minutes
In Conversazioni alla Fonte Regina, a group of performers establishes an acoustic relationship with the local birds using traditional hunting birdcalls. Repurposed from their original function, these tools are used to construct a sound environment structured as a conversation. Rather than merely imitating nature, the performance actively simulates a new, hybrid soundscape.
Through the unconventional use of birdcalls, megaphone-induced feedback, and smartphones generating high-frequency audio bands (10–15 kHz), the artists gradually transfigure the park's acoustic environment. Ultimately, the sonic intervention fades away, allowing the original natural soundscape to gently re-emerge.
